Keertana Sreekumar
Meet Keertana Sreekumar- the owner of K. College Consulting. Keertana
began her very own college journey at the age of 12 when she enrolled in her
first community college course at Diablo Valley College.
By sophmore year of high school, she had completed her
AA (Associates Degree) in English Literature. Keertana decided to leave high
school early to become an assistant teacher at The Quarry Lane School,
a top 5 private school in California. She was the youngest employed teacher
in the history of the school.
Keertana was able to graduate high school at 17, skipping one year of high
school and securing acceptances to all UC (University of California) schools,
including the the #1 public schools in the US, UC Berkeley and UCLA. She
committed to UCLA to complete her Bachelors in English Literature at
19 years old, thus persuing a PhD in the literary field in hopes of becoming one of the youngest professors teaching in the UC system.
This was all possible because of her meticulous research into the dual enrollment and associate degree programs in her school district. Most community colleges do not assign a academic counselor for dually enrolled students, causing Keertana to become her own personal academic counselor to achieve her life goals in education.
The process of figuring out transferrable classes and enrollment was a grueling endeavor. This is why Keertana founded KC. Consulting services, in hopes of helping students with similar desires of atypical education.
